Code Of Conduct


Thank you for your patronage today. In order to help ensure a pleasant shopping environment, all shopping center visitors, patrons, and employees are PROHIBITED from the following:


PARENTAL ESCORT POLICY:

  • Guests age 16 and under are required to be accompanied by and remain with a parent or legal guardian at all times at Valley Mall.
  • Proof of age will be required for the youth and supervising adult. Those who fail to produce proper identification will be asked to leave the property. Identification must include a photograph, date of birth and be tamper proof.
  • Supervising adult may accompany up to 3 youths, must remain with the youth at all times, and is responsible for the action of the youth(s) they accompany.

PHYSICAL AND VERBAL CONDUCT:

  • Use of obscene language or gestures. Racial, religious, gender or ethnic slurs.
  • Behavior that is disorderly, disruptive or that endangers others.
  • Defacing, damaging, destroying, or shoplifting any property.
  • Running, skating, skateboarding, rollerblading, hover boarding, and use of electric scooters.
  • Use of the property in an improper or unsafe manner.
  • Loud behavior, the playing of musical instruments or audio devices, use of generator is also prohibited.
  • The blocking of store entrances, walkways, fire exits.

IMPROPER ATTIRE:

  • Clothing that does not adequately cover the body. All patrons must be fully clothed and cannot wear indecent, inappropriate or gang-related attire.
  • Clothing that obscures the face, unless worn for cultural, religious or medical conditions, or mandated by public health officials.

WEAPONS:

  • Possession of any item that could be used as a weapon, including but not limited to firearms, explosives, fireworks, clubs, or sticks (except umbrellas, canes and other medical-type devices), knives with blades over 2" in length, or any other object(s) that may be used in any way to inflict bodily injury on another person, even if legally owned.

ANIMALS:

  • Bringing animals to the Center, with the exception of leashed service animals accompanied by a person with disability or trainer, or a dog weighing less than 10 pounds in an enclosed carrier, or in accordance with the Center’s pet policy, if applicable.

SMOKING, ALCOHOL AND NARCOTICS:

  • Smoking (including vaping and the use of electronic cigarettes) inside the property and within 50 feet of exterior entrances.
  • Illegal possession, use, or consumption of alcoholic beverages or controlled substances. The legal consumption of alcoholic beverages may only occur in designated areas.

SOLICITATION/COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY:

  • Soliciting money or other contributions or donations, engaging in commercial activity or distributing advertising materials.
  • Picketing, leafleting, soliciting, or petitioning, unless authorized by Valley Mall Management.

INTERNET:

  • Viewing or displaying material on laptops, tablet computers, smartphones, etc., that is likely to provoke a disturbance or embroil the Center’s patrons in conflict, uses obscenities, “fighting words,” sexually explicit language, or images displaying the aforementioned content, or displays of pornography, grisly or gruesome material.
  • Excessive use of Center’s Wi-Fi system is also prohibited.
  • Photographing, videotaping or filming, unless authorized by Valley Mall Management.

GRAFFITI/VANDALISM/TRASH:

  • Defacing, damaging or destroying property in any area belonging to the Center, its patrons or tenants, including writing, spraying, scratching, affixing decals, signs or other graffiti on such property.
  • Throwing or discarding any paper, glass or other matter of any kind except in designated trash and recycling receptacles.
  • Removing items from any trash or recycling receptacle.
  • Sitting on floors, planters, handrails, artwork, escalators, stairs, trash receptacles, or other areas not specifically designated for seating. Benches, chairs, and seating areas are for sitting only. Persons with disabilities are permitted.
  • Any unattended bags are subject to search and possible seizure, strictly enforcing school truancy policies.

LOITERING:

  • Loitering or using the Center as a place of slumber or temporary residence.
  • No overnight parking or camping.
  • Groups of 5 or more may be dispersed.


Valley Mall, including its buildings, roadways, and parking areas, is private property. We have set forth the following Code of Conduct to protect the property’s legitimate business interests and provide you with the best shopping experience possible by refraining from the activities listed below, together we can achieve a safe and successful environment.


ANY PERSON WHO FAILS TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUEST OF

VALLEY MALL MANAGEMENT OR SECURITY MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY.


Your entry to Valley Mall constitutes your consent to abide by the above rules governing conduct and your acknowledgment that you have no expectation of privacy while you are in the common areas of Valley Mall, such that you may be photographed and your communications may be overheard or recorded. A violation of this Code of Conduct may result in expulsion from the property and/or other legal action as Valley Mall management deems appropriate. If you have questions regarding the Code of Conduct, please contact the management office. Management reserves the right to amend the Code of Conduct at any time.


Suggested Safety Tips for Shopping

  • Note your parking location.
  • Remember to lock your car.
  • If you're shopping with family or friends, prearrange a place and a time to meet.
  • Never leave children unattended. If your child wanders away, please contact mall security for assistance.
  • Teach your children their full name... as well as yours.
  • Carry a current photo of your child with you.
  • Don't leave packages or other personal property unattended.
  • Guard your handbag, wallet and credit cards... don't flash your cash.
  • Always have keys in hand before you reach your car.
  • Check your car from a distance to make sure no one is loitering near it.
  • Always lock car doors as soon as you get inside.
  • Always be aware of your surroundings.
  • If you notice anything suspicious, report it to mall management.
  • Never hesitate to ask for assistance.
